Chhaya Collective are committed to delivering high energy, fun-filled and explorative workshops for primary and secondary schools. Each session will involve team building, engaging in creative tasks, learning energetic Bollywood choreography and elements of classical Bharatanatyam dance, to develop the student's understanding of Indian dance techniques and arts culture of India.
Chhaya Collective workshops are run by dance artists Kay Crook and Ajeesh Balakrishnan. Kay and Ajeesh have taught internationally for institutions in Amsterdam, South Korea, France, Belgium, Canada, India and UK. Chhaya Collective offer a selection of workshops, technique classes and residencies, delivered to dance schools, local schools, community groups and professional development.

The workshop was fun and informative for all. All children, regardless of their physical ability were able to access the dancing. The dance itself was broken down into small, manageable steps. The teacher was very child friendly, had great communication skills with the children and was able to adapt to the children’s needs
