ALETHIA ANTONIA
Dancer
Alethia Antonia trained at Northern School of Contemporary Dance (Foundation course) and London Contemporary Dance School (BA Hons) where she was a Peggy Hawkins scholar.
She graduated in 2017 with a First Class BA and the Principal’s Award. Antonia then toured Europe with VERVE (NSCD) performing works by Sita Ostheimer, Lenka Vagnerová, Matthew Robinson, and Hannes Langolf, and received the Overall Achievement Award for Professional Practice along with an MA with Distinction.
As a freelance artist, Alethia is a dancer with Russell Maliphant Dance Company and has worked for companies/artists such as James Cousins Company, Heather Walrond Company, Ion Tribe/Luke Jessop, Extended Play (Jamaal Burkmar), Marso Riviere, Grace Nicol and Antler Theatre. She has also been developing her own work with support from Womxn SRSLY and Dance4, and is currently supported by Accelerate, a project led by Yorkshire Dance and NSCD, funded by Leeds Dance Partnership.
