VERENA SCHNEIDER

Dancer

Verena is a performer based in London, working with companies and artists such as Hagit Yakira Dance, Lisa May Thomas, Chhaya Collective, and Becky Namgauds.

She trained in contemporary dance at Trinity Laban, London Contemporary Dance School and with Jasmin Vardimon Company, and Psychology at the University of Hagen in Germany.

As a choreographer she has created work for community adult and children’s performances and as a co-founder of Infinite Project, some of her own work.

Alongside performing, Verena teaches dance and is a Jane Wardle studentship recipient on the MSc Health Psychology programme at UCL. She is specifically interested in the value of culture and the arts for physical, mental and social wellbeing and aims to integrate her experience in dance and the performing arts with health and community psychology.

Verena has first joined Chhaya Collective in 2018 for the research and development of KHAOS.
