This class uses a release approach to ballet with the aim to set up and activate the body in a way that encourages soft, expansive and articulate movement.

It begins on the floor, continues with some simple exercises in the centre, and eventually onto big travelling sequences across the floor.

I am in the beginning phase of teaching this class aimed at professionals and undergraduates which is underpinned by the ethos and principles of Pip Duke's contemporary ballet class. Pip has inspired me with her way of darting effortlessly across the floor, unravelling into suspense and tossing in a playful move for the fun of it. 

I hope for us to get dancing more than thinking and to find freedom through the form!
