FIONA BARROW
Violinist
Fiona is a multi - instrumentalist, composer, musical director, teacher, facilitator and recording artist who has worked extensively in theatre, dance, cabaret, and community arts as well as musical concerts and gigs.
Highlights include The Globe, New Victory on Broadway, Sydney Festival, Wellington State Opera House NZ, Topkapi Palace in Istanbul, and Holders Season in Barbados.
Recording work includes various Radio 3 and 4 plays, and recently for BBC1 ‘Attenborough and the Giant Dinosaur’. Fiona has played widely for dance of many styles including English/ Irish/ Scottish/ Appalachian, ballroom, salsa and tango, and was musical director/ accordionist with Protein Dance (contemporary).
​She is at heart an improviser and is delighted to be able to use these skills to create music with Chhaya Collective.
